Something I have been working on while doing my renovation is how to mount a set of 6 3/4" Focals in the back of a 110.
Spent some time working on several prototypes, and finally have a completed product. Installed this into a friends 110 over the weekend. I have replaced the rear panel with 3/4" birch plywood, and a second piece on top (each corner for the surrounds). Aabove the door the is a piece of aluminum trim to act as a return, closing the space between the piece, and door opening, then all upholstered.
Started by hand fabricating a pattern on 1/4" hard board for the panel, and speaker surround. Used the pattern on my router table with a flush trim bit. Rounded over the edges of the of the surrounds, .4 rivnuts on the factory mounts hold it in place (2 are under the surrounds). Then the surrounds are screwed in place, and speaker on top. All 3 pieces are upholstered separately. I wouldn't go MDF for this though. Plywood is lighter, and much more moisture resistant (some Defenders may actually have water ingress)  The plywood is also stronger on some of the areas where the cut out isn't leaving much material. it's a Landrover thing...

It's just a grey vinyl, went with the closest match to the stock interior panels. it's a Landrover thing...

That looks great,
However does it sounds as good as it looks 
Is there a camper part conversion going on in that 110 as on the right the speaker looks close to a cabinet of some sort. Great work |

It's a Front Runner Gull Wing cabinet.

That size of speaker won't fit in that location, and one of the rear corners already has a scene light carling switch and 2 aux power outlets. With the speakers up, they aren't covered by all the gear that will be stored in the back. Cabinet was a bit of an afterthought by him, but it does clear the very top a bit.
