Heritage quality

After a week of ownership the Heritage 90 is growing on me.
I bought it like many others with a,I'll take it what ever.
The drive is great with a smooth gear change and lots of power for a Defender lol.
The paint work is as good as a Defender can be but not out of this world. I've spotted a few little imperfections that I'll get sorted out at some point by a pro body shop.
On the other hand the cabin is a very special place to be with lovely embroided seats and silver accents to bits and bobs.
It really does feel special.

Nice one Steve... Thumbs Up

Some of the quality bits 'n bobs are certainly great looking, like the billet door pulls... Wink

Hopefully, it drives similarly to the Special, seeing as they are of the same era... Mr. Green

Hey Rog
This doesn't compare to a custom build like yours my friend.
Just think it's a little special considering it was the lowest spec of the specials and lower spec to ROW Heritage spec.
It does get a lot of looks when out.
Hope it's from people who might know what it is.
All in all for £31850 inc extras I think it's not all bad.

Actually, there are some great ideas on the Heritage that I am sure will find their way into the Special... Whistle

Steve, like you, I'm very pleased with the quality of the heritage. It's a very nice product. And it looks soooo good. Lots of admiring glances. I think those that have one are lucky indeed.

My only critisism is the lack of sound deadening. My 110 XS is much quieter. I understand that most new defenders now come without carpet and so I would be interested to learn how they compare. But my 110 with carpet, much better.

My concern over the MT tyres was misplaced. They look very purposeful. Even the grill is growing on me.

I also agree, engine is spritely. Much more eager than my 110, but don't know how much of that is down to size.

Enjoy, be interesting to see what mods others add to theirs.

Hi Nidge

Hope you are enjoying yours also

The noise for me is similar to the 110 I had as 2013 had no carpets Shocked

I think the tyres must add a little to the noise but I'm used to it.

Only add on at the mo will be the M&M seat covers when they come.

Still haven't decided on what wheel cover to get

Wheel cover..
May be worthwhile holding out on another wheelcover.

If you ordered the full 7 seat MM covers - there may well be a complimentary MM wheel cover in the white linen tog bag that they send their covers in ...

I like the M&M wheel cover but not sure if I would prefer a hard cover instead.

The black UT one is the sort of thing I was thinking of and I did ask they could spray one Grassmere green but they couldn't Sad

Even if you order the Heritage 90 4 seat cover set you get the M&M wheel cover - I like it a lot:

I am very pleased to hear that Steve, as they refused to do me a Keswick one for the Special... Big Cry

After that bombshell, I couldn't make up my mind... Whistle

And decided to then go nekkid instead... Shocked

And, to be honest, I have really grown to love the look... Thumbs Up

Anyway, why fork out for tidy wheels & tyres and then not show them off to those lucky enough to follow you... Mr. Green
