I recently changed the Radiator my TD5. Its a 2000 with the 10P engine. It looks like the Head has been changed before from markings I see that it came from a wrecker or Breaker. It's been cold out and the last time I parked, I noticed a pool of coolant. I looked all over and I found the source is somewhere as in the Pictures.
![]() Click image to enlarge I'm hoping it's not a cracked Head. I have no indications of excessive white smoke coming from the tail pipe, no lost power, and my oil is not creamy. Are there any hoses in this area that could have cracked or have loose clamps? |

Coolant loss is excessive. It's drizzling out not just a slow leak.

Hard to tell from an estimated location, but it might be the water jacket core plug that is leaking. If I didn't remember wrongly, there are 5 around the engine block. The defender has migrated, leaving the owner behind.

I checked the Fuel Cooler. It's not that. It looks like it is coming out from under intake manifold. What could this be?

Could be freeze plugs on the block ? Unlikely to be a cracked head I would have thought.

Where are they? It's on the passenger side of car on a Left hand drive model.

I got this picture from another site.
Also, would it be advisable to check the manifold for trueness and buy new screws? |

My mistake again. The picture I found is for the other side of the engine.
