What coupling would I need so I can tow a normal trailer and a NATO type one? Without having to swap fittings?

Thanks

There is no single coupling which can safely and legally tow both a 76mm NATO lunette and a 50mm ball, you have to change couplings.

Given that ball hitches are invariably lower than military pintle/lunette couplings, the best solution without a doubt is the slider-type adjustable bracket with two sliders, one for your ball hitch and one for a pintle.

Don't be tempted by the various offerings on Ebay etc which claim to be universal and 76mm-lunette-compliant - they are not fit for purpose. Remember too that if you have a trailer with a non-rotating lunette you should not tow it with a pintle like the one in the photo above.
