Easy fit reversing camera with screen. Options please.
Hello

Searching for an easy fit reversing camera with screen

Lot and lots of choice especially on ebay.

I would think some people have already fitted these> Are they easy? where do you route the wires? turn it on from.

Any options / advice pass on please.

Thanks

This would not be the easiest but i would think it would be the best option.
Double din dash
Double din stereo with reversing camera input. Plus you could have TV, DVD, SAT NAV.

I think it covers all basis but probably the most expensive option. Thumbs Up

I cannot yet get my head round about £300 worth of plastic to cover the singe Din to double din.. and move the switches,

smartest option by far but not on the list for now....

Try a plug in trailer cam designed for horseboxes or trailers. Ifor Williams do one, standalone so should be ready to go.

After replacing yet another "cheap" radio/cd player in my Defender I thought I might trawl ebay for a secondhand "expensive" one as it may just last a bit longer. This approach has actually paid dividends and I ended up with a Sevic head unit that when new was over £400, I got it for £19.

This has got AM/FM, sd card slot, cd, dvd, iphone connection, plus with all the connectors behind it you can plug in a whole load of other things. I've plugged in my android phone with a patch lead so I can play music from the phones music player and use it as a hands free.
I went and got a cheap reversing camera off ebay for just over a fiver and plugged that in as well. Whilst it's not the same quality you'd find in your living room it's perfectly OK for me.
I put my camera up high mounted to an led work light and the cable runs along the bottom of the headlining and down the driver side A post. I think the cable that came with the camera was 4m, it did it in one with at least 18" to spare.

Hi jay it does not have sat nav, but I think you can get a plug in module to add sat nav to it but not cheap.

Was thinking about this the other day. Does anyone know if such a thing as a bluetooth camera exists? That way you only need power to it and can use your mobile in a cradle as a screen. Not as neat as a permanent set up but a lot less wiring
