Thanks for posting the photos Shazzy I am just in the middle of route planning for the Alps next summer and that is one on my list.
My plan is .
MT Cenis.
Collea de Assiette.
Parpallian tunnel.
MT Jafferea.
Did you do any other routes whilst in the area?

Have done some in that area before and is fantastic looks like you had a good time.

Be warned, the tunnel may be closed. It seems to be shut more often than it is open at the moment. Make sure you have up to date info before making the trip up there (although the visit to the fort just before the tunnel is worth it in its' own right).

there is a passing place in the middle but if yous met at the 250m/750m point one of yous have to reverse 250m

Thanks yes I've had it confirmed its been shut now due to landslides, I'm leading a group for a trio in early July next year and it's on the planned route.

Been told there is a route up from Savoulx to get to the Fort.... 2003 Zambezi Silver TD5 110 XS SW overland prepped....
