Hi Stu,

There are a couple of us up in Aberdeen but as yet no meets or evens, I have heard of a couple of offroad sites up here but not been and had a look just yet.

I do think it is time that the local members do have a meet.

Whats brining you the this neck of the woods???

Or is it oil like so many others (including myselk).

Looking forward to some good fun in the future.

Russell

Myself and my family (My dad is from scotland) are in the stages of buying a small estate near Aberdeen, in which to also open a offroad centre and B and B, as that was also my understanding that there was not much in the area for the likes of us mud chaserslol, but i will not be changing the big prices like the land rover exp centers.

would be good to come along and get us all together, so if all goes well we will have to all meet up and have a laugh so to speak?

Beings that there are no lanes up here a good offroad site will go down a storm and there is a large potential for a lot of entertainment.

Can I ask roughly where abouts you would be located if it's not a secret?

p.s.

The nearest exp centre is a 2 hour drive from Aberdeen and they charge £100 ish for a convoy day.

No probs, I will wait to here of the grand opening.

I went once and there were about 7 of us but I think they normally take 12 for the day.
Spending a couple of hours in the exp centre and then they have about 60,000 acres nearby where they take you around logging tracks and up into the hills.

£1200 for 1 guy to take you around has got to be a winner and you've got to take your own lunch!

For all you scots based defender owners the Scottish landrover Owners Club (SLROC) hold quite a lot of meets, not joined myself yet but Ive just filled my membership form in (£25 PA)
They run a lot of Green Road Runs which are just the same as the Dunkeld LR Experience landrover safari s where they charge you a fortune to drive ur own motor up in the hills, difference being the SLROC take £5 -£10 entry for one of these. They get access to a lot of the big perthshire and argyle estates for these events. Last weeks trip which looked great was in the Galloway forrest park, where they had a 25mile course set up....all for a tenner!!
As well as that they do a lot of offroad events at varying levels and social events.
My membership form is in the post..... Life is not a rehearsal!
