1994 Defender 110 300 Tdi ST Coniston Green

Best price for 5 x BFG 255/85R16, tyres only.

I am about to buy the above tyres, some time before Christmas. I know the size I want, I know the brand I want, I would prefer the AT tread pattern but more than happy to run the KM2 MT to get the size I want.

Who is giving the best price for these at the moment?

Online I have Tyre Leader at £602. Oponeo at £630 and Paddocks at £732!!

I know Paddocks did a -10% Black Friday deal last year so their price could possibly come down to £660ish and I have a couple of quids loyalty points to cash in.

Of the other two, Tyre leader are the obvious leader (

) and at a £60 or £130 reduction on the Paddocks price would get my business (if it was only ~£30-40 then I would probably play it safe and use a UK based, localish seller).

Does anybody know of any better deals currently available or of any catches when dealing with European sellers (duties, VAT, etc)?

All help appreciated, however much I pay it isn't going to go down well with Mrs Old Skool

Tyre Leader I have used twice due to pricing. They are very difficult to beat.

Hmmm! Just checked the Tyre Leader price and see it has now jumped to £631 for the five tyres. I think I did read something in the T&Cs about prices fluctuating several times a day

It seems a bit mad for the price to jump 5% in just 24hrs. Are these guys serious contenders or just flying by the seat of their pants?

Tyre Leader now showing £777 for the 5 tyres! I think their pricing software is going in to meltdown. I wonder if pricing is adjusted according to number of web page hits and my thread is distorting the price model?
