MOT failure
Failed MOT today on rear shocks (near side had excessive worn bushes).
Plan to replace both (one is worse than the other) and local independent uses Munro`s or genuine LR ones. What's the verdict on Munro`s?
Also, advisory on drag link end ball joint has play. Is this an easy replacement?

nothing wrong with either, take your pick.
The Monroe's may be gas shocks, worth the extra pennies Thumbs Up

Track rod end easy enough, as long as old one hasn't rusted into the drag link and seized ... Then It's a pain, but still not a disaster Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

If it's failed on bushes, just fit new bushes! Rear damper bushes, especially lower bushes, seem to need renewing every 20k miles or so.

Drag link ball joint is normally an easy job.

As posted you can replace bushes only.One comment any play on steering ball joints should be a fail !

Took to local independent who fitted new bushes as shocks were ok. At same time he adjusted hand brake, replaced seal (oil leak) and provided me with replacement screw for one I lost on plastic cover that covers viscous fan and belt!
Passed MOT on retest Very Happy
