Clutch and wheel bearings
Gents
I reckon the clutch and rear wheel bearings are goosed on the 110, thing is are these jobs for the driveway mechanic.
I've done the clutch on a series 3, so I'm OK with tools, I suppose that I'm after a bit of reassurance really before I dive in
As usual any help mucho appreciated

Wheel bearings are a simple job to do on the driveway. Just make sure you take everything off and lay it neatly in the right order. That way its easy to put the new bits on in the right order!
Dont forget to put one half of the bearing into the hub before fitting the new oil seal (been there and didnt learn my lesson for the other side!!)
Remember to use a decent axle stand if you're going to be hanging off a ratchet to undo and retorque bolts. You dont want to amputate a leg with a defender brake disc!

The clutch can be done although its a bit harder. I ended up doing it at a mates garage because it was going to be a pain on the driveway. Someone will be along soon to tell you they've done it and hopefully give you a couple of tips..

Themost adventurous I've been is both axles off for full rebuilds and a transfer box change on the driveway.

Best of luck!

The earlier adjustable type wheel bearings are a piece of cake. Take a look on YouTube as there's some enlightening videos there. Thumbs Up I started with nothing and still have most of it left!

Clutch is easy enough but not for the faint-hearted. Remove the transfer box, then the gearbox. If you're just doing the clutch and don't need to extract the gearbox you can roll it back on a jack without having to lower it and get it out from underneath.

It is a fairly major undertaking but there is nothing particularly difficult, bear in mind that you'll be working underneath with seriously heavy bits perched above you on a jack (transfer box and gearbox) and if they fall on you it may be life changing. Be sensible!
