I think I am part way there. I now have a new icon on the map screen (shows a picture of a person) but alas, still not able to add contacts.

Might have to go for a remove and reinstall to see if the software checks for contacts.
Some people dont like the Waze app seeing the contact details, but as I only have 1 or 2 then I dont have an issue (at least not yet anyway) 1999 Defender TD5 110
