Mick Jagger portrayed Ned Kelly in a feature film made in 1970. I remember seeing the film at the time (Jesus had not realised that was 45 years ago) But I do recall Jagger gave a surprisingly strong performance as Ned Kelly. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

There's a great Jazz bar in Hong Kong named after him, It'd called Ned Kelly's Last Stand. A really down to earth place with great live music! Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft

We're up in Kelly Country at the moment, and We're staying at Glenrowan where the Siege was conducted which ended with Ned being captured after being critically wounded, the other 3 gang members were killed. Ned was hanged in 1880,.......but 50,000 people signed a petition, which was ignored, to let him live.
On Wifey's laptop at the moment in a motel,....not good,..will put up more when we get home. Pickles. |
