Thanks K9F,
I stopped in a place in N Blandford. Recommended by a Metalsmith and a friend seperately. Will look at Ferndown though as not a million miles away. Cheers. 2002 110 CSW TD5, Zambezi Silver 1995 110 CSW 300TDi - SOLD Last edited by tasr12 on 25th Aug 2015 4:06pm. Edited 1 time in total |

May I ask which was the place in Blandford (asking as someone who works in Blandford, so it might be useful to know)?

I didn't get the name but it is on Holland Way next to The House of Sarunds.
Nice enough inside, I just need to investigate getting the original coating off first. 2002 110 CSW TD5, Zambezi Silver 1995 110 CSW 300TDi - SOLD |

Any good paint specialist should be able to strip it on your behalf using a number of different methods available to them. Ask around.

Plasticite gets the nostrils in the air alot for me. I have a blaster at the bottoms of my hill who I have used twice for blasting plasticote. He doubled the price the second time as he hated every minute of removing it. I got bored of him moaning and said "alright mate ill take the work else where " he suddenly stopped griping and told me to collect the next day.
You will find someone to do it for you but it may be pricey, I fot tired of people saying "plasticite... Ooooh... Just bin it and buy new , probably cheaper that way" My little story hasn't helped but thought id let you know you're not alone in your struggle |

If looking for shot blasting find someone who uses cheery stones rather that grit or sand, the difference between the materials is something to behold. I have has various items shot blasted and cheery stone is the best. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
