Got a pair of Motorolas a couple of years ago for just under £60. Have worked fine no problems. Defender 90XS SW

Also I got 2 Motorola MT350R for +/- 60 USD (42 GBP) in USA at the end of 2013. Ptretty good. Used in all our trips. Eduardo

If you are talking PMR, then Cobra have worked well in the past for me, and their current model range has a good set of price points but even better if you are happy for manufacturer refurbished – ex-display:

I know this might sound really cheapskate but I got a pair from Aldi about 4 years ago. OK, they don't get used every day but they have all the bells and whistles, they are rechargeable in their own dock, they came with hands free kits and can be used voice activated and they're pretty simple to use.
I"ve used mine when we"ve been laning and someone is without a cb, we use them at shows as you're more likely to have contact than with a mobile phone. The batteries last ages especially as I forget to charge them but they have been 12 months in their box in the 110, gone to them and they've still had a healthy charge. And the price? Usually around the £20 mark! They're probably going to be around in their Special Deals soon as they keep coming round every year. |
