BLACK Bolt Sets
I really need to get a set of stainless bolts ordered for the 90 but my mind keeps wandering (as it often does Rolling Eyes ) towards the idea of black. I've never seen them for sale so wondering if I'm alone in this idea?

Currently thinking of ordering a full Nakatenenga set and then having the visible ones powder coated?

Crazy idea ???

powder is no option, it will chip whiest fitting.

We are working on dying the bolts black in a special chemical process. The first samples are on its way. WANTED:

Hi Peter

One extra thought:

If you have one of your stainless wheel carriers (as I do) then you'll need to produce an "add on" kit to cover those bolts too!

Using plasticdip?
Not sure that would work on body bolts?

Thanks, yes wheel nuts do seem available.

My interest is also in the body bolts/screws. Sounds like Peter might have a solution soon!

Aha, missed what you were really talking about when you wrote "black bolt set". Black body screws, that is a totally different thing of course. In the meantime, I go back from stainless to standard on those. Wink
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Watching with interest to see if the black dye process is successful. Cheers,
