I do like the 1 tonne 109, I have had a 1Tonne 101, but that is a very different beast, I do not suppose 2x half tonne 88s count?
The rest of the fleet is coiled, apart from a 1948 80”.

There is an unrestored one in regular use near me, have not managed to talk with the owner yet, but will ambush him one day.

You are doing a great job of restoring them. 80" 1948

An unrestored what - I'm not sure what your referring to there. I would think the chances of an unrestored genuine 1 Ton knocking about are, somewhere between slim and nil? 2011 110 USW

I suppose a TACR is a kind of honorary 1 Ton as they did have the gearbox and wheels/tyres, but lacked the six pot obviously.. 2011 110 USW

Thing is, thats not patina. It's a poor quality roller job over a pretty decent limestone respray, over the original paint. So there is nothing to preserve. It would never have been run in that state by the board.

Now, my cherrypicker in it's very worn but original paint is a much bigger headache. 2011 110 USW

Yes it will eventually get an overall coat of atlantic green. As will my 88". The cherrypicker will need a bit more thought as I'd like to preserve what I can, but would want it looking reasonably presentable. 2011 110 USW

Both a couple of years off anyway. The 'picker will have to be a mix and match as some panels have hardly any paint left on, but others, are mint, such as the cab rear panel. 2011 110 USW

Sounds like a lot of head scratching with the cherry picker paint but at least you have a good length of time to come to a decision Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.
