VERY smart looking Defender, & something to be proud of,......
IF, you can keep it clean???!!! Perhaps in the UK, dust is not such a problem as down here, but I had a black car once, & it was SO hard to keep clean!! But of course, when Black is "BLACK", it looks sensational. Enjoy, Pickles. |

Cheers for all the comments chaps - I'm really happy to finally be behind the wheel of a 90.
I did. It made a lot of sense... well, at least when I used 'man-logic'. I saw your new XS in your thread - she is also a beauty. Congrats.
Black is a pain to keep clean here also. If it isn't road grime, it is pollen from the trees. However, whilst I feel the need to clean black sports cars, I actually don't mind dirty black 4WD vehicles. My previous 4WD was black and whilst it looked great when it was clean, there was something very satisfying seeing it dirty. I have the carpet kit in mine but have put down the load area rubber matt and front set. My wife got in this weekend and our dog (and children) had been in it earlier and her immediate comment was "it is nice to see one of your cars getting dirty and looking used!" (there was obvious signs of our earlier walk - muddy foot and paw prints, etc). My attitude is that she is there to be used and whilst I'll pamper her, she will get dirty and be used as she should. looks really nice, so neat in all black!
i like the fact that DEFENDER on the bonnet is in silver - but it looks like it's in indus silver, not brunel! which i like even more is this something you specifically asked for or did just come like that? good luck with it and many happy miles |
