Fitted the replacement variable intermit wiper relay as per dgardel's excellent find - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic1810.html

This then got me thinking about the rear wiper, I never need to have the wiper on permanently and it really annoys me having to push the button every 30 seconds, so after consulting the font of all knowledge (dgardel Bow down ) I came up with a way to add the same variable intermit relay to the rear wiper system.

Don't look too closely at the wiring - not the best (especially for an electrical engineer). Barney

Looking Good.

I did a camper van conversion, after checking I did not install fibre glass loft type insulation as it holds mositure. Check what you have fitted, the reports i read were that the insulation holds mositure in, turns into a black sludge and rots the car from the inside out.

I used Thermafleece on the sides and isonat on the roof, both natural fibres which dont hold mositure, both available from camper conversion websites, easy to fit and doesnt make you itch.

1) Bumerettes - thanks to Mark_110DCPU

Using chiefstoker's excellent guide http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic6033.html I "adjusted" the mudflaps to suit. - I'm amazed at the c**p quality of the mudflap paint - for a vehicle less than 2 years old there is so much rust!

Very easy to do, excellent instructions, a bit panicky when drilling the rivet holes, but soooo worthwhile! Barney

Bumperettes look good Smile - Was good to meet up with you. Really nice looking truck generally too. Shame mine doesn't look that tidy!

Cheers

I recently fitted one too and I was the same. You've got to be so careful that once the bit goes though it doesn't peirce the outer skin as well Shocked A drill Step bit would probably been more suitable.

Put a cable tie on the drill bit, that will prevent you drilling through too far Thumbs Up Richard
