trailer dash light
Hi, I have had my 90 Puma since Feb this year ( MY57 ) and all was fine. I connected a trailer up to the towing electrics (already in place) all worked fine Defender lights and trailer however once dissonected so it was just the Defender no trailer is when i had this little annoying problem occur. basically if i use hazzards trailer light flashes also at the same time even with out it connected and also if you indicate left or right it will do the same but if you indicate the same direction twice it wont do it on the second and so on but the if you change to the other direction it does it again. Any ideas why this might be? Also i have the problem with my reversing light (see my other post)

Thanks Confused

If i understand what you are saying thats normal - and what mine does. And actually all land rovers do.

When no trailer on the back

You indicate - the trailer symbol flashes once and then stops - the arrow continues

With the hazards on - the two arrows and trailer flashes with the hazard triangle

When a trailer is on the back

The trailer symbol flashes all the time with the arrow.

---the single flash is to show it working but there isnt a trailer, when a trailer is on, if there is a fault it (trailer icon) doesnt flash highlighting a trailer lighting fault.

Hope that makes sens Mike

I didn't realise this. i never noticed it at first (Is my first Landy) and of course i noticed it after connecting the trailer up. I think i got my wires crossed here. If they all do this then thats great no problem Mr. Green

Konabikes,

I get the distinct impression that you and electrics don't mix very well. Am I right?
