M O T Computerisation 2
Well I`ve been asking around locally, but know one round here seems to be part of the roll out yet.
Just wondering if anyone on here has, or is part of MOT COMP 2. Scheme. I think we go live in a month or two.
Would like to know how people are getting on with it. I`ve been on the course and it seems a better system than the current VTS device.
Any thoughts / comments would be nice. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires.

Not sure that anyones gone live yet

think there doing away with smart cards , think its going to be much the same but web based

Yes they said the smart cards are going. They will be replaced with passwords and pin numbers. So they say But it`s vosa / dvsa. I think they said they were going to rename themselves, that week.. So you never know.

My self I think the loss of the smart cards is a bad idea. With just pin numbers / passwords. the prospect of the over the shoulder MOT is more than lightly. Anyone in the trade has always noticed some one looking over them while they're using the vts device.
At least if you keep the smart card in your wallet, they may have one but not the other. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires.
