Mine was worse in the lower gears then cleared once past 3rd/4th or was not audible above the rest of the noise anyway.
It's not a major issue with the engine as mine has whistled for quite a while, that said I'm sure it's smoother running now I've stopped it but might just be imagination. |

Mine whistles mostly in the lower gears but it is audible throughout the range. How bad is bad? Well I have to turn the radio off and open the window to really be able to properly hear it, but I know its there. Sods law is that I'll be on some major hike and it will suddenly get much worse so I am going to fix it now. I have found a workshop who can grind the turboflange and I al just waiting now for a gasket changing set .

I don't get it low down, it's almost quite a nice noise, if that makes sense which is why I thought it was just the turbo! It's going in for the swivel seals to be done soon so I'll get them to check it out, thanks..

Yes, I only hear it with the windows open and no radio. Another thing on the to do list!
