How much of a whistle is this whistle? I have always had a slight whistle on fairly hard acceleration through third to fifth, I just thought it was the turbo spinning up! You lot have got me worried now Big Cry

Mine was worse in the lower gears then cleared once past 3rd/4th or was not audible above the rest of the noise anyway.
It's not a major issue with the engine as mine has whistled for quite a while, that said I'm sure it's smoother running now I've stopped it but might just be imagination.

Mine whistles mostly in the lower gears but it is audible throughout the range. How bad is bad? Well I have to turn the radio off and open the window to really be able to properly hear it, but I know its there. Sods law is that I'll be on some major hike and it will suddenly get much worse so I am going to fix it now. I have found a workshop who can grind the turboflange and I al just waiting now for a gasket changing set .

I don't get it low down, it's almost quite a nice noise, if that makes sense which is why I thought it was just the turbo! It's going in for the swivel seals to be done soon so I'll get them to check it out, thanks..
