2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Orkney Grey

12v Power socket to rear

Good evening

First of all, please accept my apologies for being a bit of a dummy asking this question. It has probably been covered many times, but I can't locate an answer.
I am looking to install one, possibly two power points in the back of my 2012 plate 110. I thought I read that there was a 12v lead in the OS rear panel??

My 63 plate 110 doesn't have the connector either. I know the wire is there but it's buried in the loom. And I can't be arsed to break into the loom just to get the wire. Easier to run new wires to the rear in the correct gauge for what you need 110 D250 SE HT

Hopefully I have uploaded this photo.

After asking about how to install a 12v power socket to the rear of my2012 110, I have found this block of wiring on the drivers side, up behind the rear mud flaps. As I have not got a clue about wiring etc, would anyone be able to let me know if this is possibly there for future towing electrics, and could I tap into it for the power for my sockets??

yes its for towing electrics , but as far as I know there is no permament 12v live in it only lighting feeds

but the wire there in your pic looks purple so might be the same wire that used to be inside , need to check with a test light really

have you checked inside behind speaker panel ?

Yes, checked there... It seems on 2012 onwards, these wires have been removed!!

Munch beat me to it,, Up to and inc 11 MY year, the 12v power behind the speaker was purple,,
worth a test lead on that purple one in you picture,,

The fuse WAS, in the right (driver) seat box was was not fitted at the factory, for the earlier years California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1
