May said that he and Hammond appearing alongside a "surrogate Jeremy" would be "forced" and "lame".
"Me and Hammond with a surrogate Jeremy is a non-starter, it just wouldn't work. That would be lame, or 'awks' as young people say," he explained. "It has to be the three of us. You can't just put a surrogate Jeremy in and expect it to carry on. It would be forced. I don't believe the BBC would be stupid enough to try that." More likely that AW was asked to be part of something he wasn't happy with. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As if any of them care wilman, clarkson and may.... all less than 10 years off the normal retirement age of 60 and all worth a fortune .... Only Hammond still in his 40s and I'm sure he could retire too 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.

^ think you're being a little unfair.
Top Gear was Clarkson's brainchild along with May and Hammond, I'm sure theyre all completely at a loss without it now as its been a significant part of all their lives for over a decade. Clarkson seems to have had a really tough time recently if you cut through all the newspaper Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
