I think it would be more like 10 all with quality winches,

The only way we can these out it if we have 10 - 15 trucks winch to winch

Then you would need thirty trucks to rescue the ten and then 100 trucks to rescue the thirty etc. etc. Laughing For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Reminded me a bit of the old woman who swallowed a fly Very Happy
But Willy Eckerslike you are right about the gene pool - sometimes Darwinism just just doesn't kick in quick enough

Your right natural selection can be a bit slow! On the other hand if we got rid of all the idiots in the world there would be no one left to measure our superior intelligence by… Whistle For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I follow the Glossop & Edale Mountain Rescue teams on Twitter, and there are many more walkers rescued off the moors/hills than 4x4 drivers. I don't condone driving off-piste at all, but there are many more walkers who go out ill prepared and venture off the correct paths and they don't get pilloried in the media for their actions. The cost to the Mountain Rescue Teams in both funds and possible life is not to be underestimated.

Cheers

Simon

Indeed. I went with some visiting friends to one of Chamonix's 'must see' sites, Lac Blanc. Late spring, if I remember, some snow still on the ground at the height of the Lake, 2352m/7716ft. As we climbed from the access chairlift (2000m) for the 90min walk, we passed a family of four. Mum, Dad and two kids under the age of ten, wearing t-shirts, shorts and trainers and with one bag between them. Apparently their school-sized Disney back-pack contained 4 x full sets of waterproofs, 4 x pairs of gloves, 4 x hats, 4 x sun cream, 4 x thermals, 4 x food, 4 x water, phones, maps etc etc etc. Amazing really as it looked capable of carrying a round of cucumber sandwiches and little else. Fortunately it was (and remained) an impeccable day, but I don't need to tell experienced outdoor folk on this fourm that the Alps are anything but tame and snow at 1000m in August is not unheard of. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....
