e-petition mandatory noise complaint waiver for motorsport
Another worthy cause for support copied from elsewhere

This is an important petition to stop people that move into a property near a long established motor sport venue complaining about noise etc and getting the venue shut down. I have seen similar happen to my other pastime, diving, we can't sit by and watch it happen again. Thumbs Up

Dave whilst sympathetic to your cause the reluctancy to ever sign an e-petition again stems from the fact one is bombarded with unwanted spam in humongous amounts the minute they have your e-mail.

I think it might depend on who's organising the petition.

Change.org (linked in K9's post above) look like a dedicated petition arranger for all sorts of 'causes' and seem to pass your email on to any old Tom, Dick or Harry who want to moan about something.

This noise lot look more focussed and therefore i signed the petition.

I know from Goodwood (been a racetrack since WW2) the hassle they get from incoming locals, many of whom live miles away from the circuit. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.

Same as those that buy 'idyllic' houses/cottages adjacent to a working port or airport. You would have thought they would have researched or realised beforehand.
Usually stereotypical 'Snow Queen/Blue Rinse brigade' that have nothing better to do with their time but gumbump and flap their chops about how hard done by they are. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
