I am sitting in Mexico, and would love to read the article, tried to import the magazine before, but it always gets ¨lost¨in the mail! Don't know how legal it is with copy rights and all that stuff, but if some could scan it and post, it would really be appreciated!

The mail coach does not arrive from London till Tuesday in these parts, so I guess the order book will be full by the time I get my copy, knowing my luck, the posty will have a TDV6 before me........

The only thing that detracts from the story is that it's in LROI. Every month I spot basic errors in their stories discussing LRs.

This month for the Disco2 they claim ACE and SLS was fitted to all but the base model - Censored ! Except the base model, all 5-seat models had ACE but no SLS (quad rate springs as std), whilst the 7-seat models had SLS but no ACE. The top spec model had both ACE & SLS. Also you could not get a non-SLS with 7-seats as that has not been homoglonised (however it's spelt).

Other than for one of specific articles I refuse to buy LROI, it's also getting difficult to locate in Derby, LRE and LRM are more readily available.

What sort of power/torque does the BAS setup give?

Harvey

Depends what you mean by a "base model Disco II" I believe this was the "E" that was only available to special order No electronics at all, 5 seats and coil springs, I had an "S" that most considered to be the base model, 5 seat, coil sprungs, no ACE or SLS but ABS and Traction Control.

Funnily enough I remember you advising me not to get a DII on the old FLC Forum after you had your one. Never was much good at listening to advice Very Happy MAD COW

Just realised what was in LRW was a series on someone trying to fit a TDV8 into a Defender, although I seem to recall that Pete had a hand in that project too? MAD COW

You also missed the bit where there's a photo of the D2 engine bay, clearly a V8 sat in there, and they keep referring to is as a Td5!!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

How useless are these people?

Generic remaps is a bit harsh lol and you got the price wrong, pimped up cars is cool though, i can live with that Mr. Green
