I think they mean you can by the front or rear kits that include both dampers or you can buy them separately as individual items.


Might be worth a call to devon to clarify if anyone is contemplating it. IMHO not yet for me but it does look nice.


What you have to consider is that you will have to couple them to the OME long travel springs (£150-ish each end) and then on a puma with that much lift you run the risk of front prop vibration so £400ish for a decent double cardon from Glyn lewis.


So £1600 mmmm I'd hope for a damm good ride for that much. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

I'm not convinced of the need of by-pass style shock absorbers for a typical usage Defender.
Unless you are doing some high speed off-road driving that uses the full suspension travel...

On the plus side, the BP-51 are a sexy looking piece of kit...

'Popped' down to D44 and asked about the BP-51 price. They weren't 100% sure, but said the website price would be for 1, as that is how Old Man Emu sell them - individually.

Sadly I just cannot justify to myself > £2150 for set of dampers, even if they do come with shock towers. Back to looking at what Gwyn Lewis can provide. Might look at the Koni Raid dampers, I wonder if they do them in +5" length? 2005 Td5 90 XS

I have bought the complete set at Devon 4x4, and start installing the kit in 2 weeks time. I wanted something adjustable for empty driving and fully laden for travel in one package, and rebuildable! I once had a brand new set ruined within 7000 km in Algeria. Two years ago, I came out of the interior of Iceland without rear shocks! If someone is interested, I will film the whole process, and review afterwords (as intended with a trip to Spain). Keep it safe, from semi-lockdown in Belgium.

Ive got Koni HT Raids and cannot fault them so far. Yet to try then properly off rosd but so far fantastic paired with OME springs Instagram @defender_ventures

Yes very interested in how you get on with them millepet. Unfortunately their price was beyond what I could justify, so I just went with the standard OME setup from Gwyn. 2005 Td5 90 XS
