I sold it because I couldn't find a nice way to mount it, & have now seen a pair of brackets that bolts to the gutter that the light bar bolts to,so kinda gutted I sold it 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto

To follow up this some more,

ive recently fitted a pair of trucklite LED headlights purchased through the forum discount / group buy, havent had a chance to drive it with them yet in the dark but they look good in the daylight,

i have also fitted a pair of Hella 4000 Compact HID's, these are slightly odd to drive with as they are very daylight in colour with no HID blue tinge,

No idea why but i had bought a 42" led light bar to go on before i bought the headlights so id say thats likely gonna be up forsale,

Looking for some input in regards to fuel consumption as on the recent trip to Goodwood festival of speed with the buggy on tow, i was just breaking 15MPG Big Cry

given that my old disco loaded did 19mpg towing that small difference makes a big distance on range, 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto

is that 15mpg compared to the 19mpg on gps mileage as with those tyres your speedo will under read.

how fast you going

my tdci does 19-22mpg towing the trayback with everything fully loaded sat at 60mph on motorway.

you going to KoW and if so what you want for that light bar? Cheers

id like the £100 i paid for it back as its not going on the 110 now,

comparing the tyre size vs the 235/85/16 it should be on, works out roughly 1mpg difference through the tire size vs speedo recorded mileage 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto

sitting at 60/65, it is on BFG km2 muds but are relatively hard, (think 45-50 psi in the back)

it has a safari esq snorkel, with decent sized pipework, new filters etc, has a remap (stage 1+) which makes it go well, doesnt visibly smoke other than pulling away,

waiting on my Allisport intercooler to go in it, it has a decat & centre box removed,

need to look into why when its ticking over, if you smell the exhaust it smells sweet/ eyes sting bit like when a V8 is overfueling,

Ross reckoned to 300 miles out a tank, im getting about 300-325 running about with 250-260 towing, 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto

do you have an overdrive on yours?

im tempted to do the cam timing on the 110 as that made a difference on the buggy to how it drove

im on 255/85 mts which if im honest im considering switching to at's 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto

my td5 did have an over drive yes but not used towing really. that was also on 235s.

i would go to ATs, when i use the MTs on mine i loose 2mpg. (also allowing for tyre size difference) Cheers

little bump from the past,

things have moved on from before, this year i made the decision to fit a m57 alloy block & 8hp gearbox afer some arm twisting & Censored if ya dinny from marcus at MW machines,

so after accruing a pallets worth of parts we did the main bulk of the conversion in just 5 days with the trip home from manchester being the road test,

have since gone on to do the NC500 & have currently racked up around 6k this year,

currently running a mild 330bhp & around 650/700nm, recently switched to a griffin exhaust which has rounded off the noise maker,

sold the BFgoodrich KM2s as they were too noisy & switched to a set of Toyo Open country Mts which are much quieter

have a load of pictures from our trip & this years adventures which if i can get them off my phone i will upload

Started out as a 300tdi utility converted to a td5, has a ported & polished head, big vnt turbo, 4"intake pipework, 3" exhaust, based of injected fuel quantity & air flow numbers should be in the 250bhp bracket, would make more power & smoke less if it had bigger injectors,
Has king 2.5 shocks & hydro bumps all round, gigglepin twin motor winch with 24v winch motors & +60 gearing I think,
Owned by a mate of mine with an absolute dislike of straight body panels & a keen interest in putting a 110 in places it has no place being Laughing 110 XS DC M57 + 8 Speed auto
