What is the general opinion on Pioneer speakers?
I see Halfords do a 4" and 5.25" set .... a worthwhile upgrade over standard or no? Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

anyone fitted these? Seems like you can put bigger speakers in without cutting?

Dave,

I put some 'in-phase' speakers in the back only.......still deciding what to do with the front but if I do anything it will be tweeters plus the main. However after fitting the 'in-phase' active sub I'm not sure I'm bothered about taking it any further ..... the sub was a huge improvement. having wired it direct to the head unit I'm able to adjust the levels where had it been wired into the speakers I'm not sure I could have done this (anyhow not what you want to hear).

the 'in-phase' rear speakers made an improvement but I'd say it was very marginal - perhaps in part due to speaker housing as much as anything.

with the sub I've kinda got the rear speaker acting more as mid / tweeters which means the surrounds are now less of a problem.

- decisions, decisions......have fun choosing. Thumbs Up
