A couple of good names have already been mentioned.

Before booking any tour, please check on max size of group, if they are suitable for children etc. distance covered every day etc. check carefully exactly what is in with the price so no hidden extras like camp site/hotel fees. Barry (sorry can not remember company name) provides all the evening and breakfast meals. So makes for less stressful event if you do not like cooking.

Try and meet the group leader and other potential attendees before parting with your cash.

No point in joining a group if you are TT and the others are intent on have a beer/spirit rave up every night etc. I know one tour leader(NOT any of those mentioned above) who likes his 'pop'
