Heard of this stuff but not seen it, I gelueas you simply hide the tags around the vehicle to prove its yours if stolen and re plated ?

I guess you just notify SmartWater of any such change... And the same would go for ownership I'm sure... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

You are supplied with a mixture of deterrent tags and SmartWater solution, enough for application around the vehicle... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

No, the smart water contains a unique 'DNA' that's simply applied (daubed/painted) to your property and is invisible to the naked eye but visible under a special light. If stolen and recovered, the police can access a database that will match the 'DNA' to your address. The labels are simply to publicise the fact that the vehicle has been 'treated', deter the would-be thief and inform him that indelible proof of ownership is present on the vehicle which is very difficult for them to detect and/or erase. It's just another 'layer' of security though. |

Ive just realised the code can also be used for household too.
Good deal there too, especially if you have tools etc. £25 one off for that and covers up to 50 items. Our local church has it I think. |

Yes, sorry, I suppose I should have mentioned the code works on the Home Pack too...
Although we did touch on it in the early replies... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

I think the water is invisible but cops can scan for it.......it works because it is specific to your car .....the scum dont like a trail to their door............... Last edited by nitram17 on 4th Dec 2014 11:04pm. Edited 1 time in total |
