How Many Speaker in a Hard Top County

Hoping someone can answer this.

We have a 2007 Hard Top coming next month. It's a 2.4 TDCI, can anyone tell me how many speakers it will have?

Does anyone have any recommendations on an upgrade (sorry if that's been done to death, I'm a newbie here).

Also the head unit is a standard fit one, so we are looking at going for an upgrade with Bluetooth, is getting a DAB unit worth it for a Defender and if it is where have you guys put the DAB Ariel?

Can't answer the first part but having fitted a Pioneer DAB in my 90 I can say it is well worth it.

Re the aerial, have a read of this thread, I have used an aerial amplifier and the results are excellent

2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey

focals are a easy upgrade, i started with head unit and focal direct replacement

then bought a sub, which is the alpine slim one and isnt really up to scratch,

have just purchased a clarion fold out head unit and a big amp to power the focals and will get a new sub soon...

& 2 tweeters dash top, two under the dash and 2 in the rear.

It should have as standard, 2x front under dash, 2x rear in speaker panels just below rear quarter lights and 2x tweeters on the top of the dash each died.
Needless to say absolutely all of the LR speakers and In Car Entertainment system. (Well they call it one) has been removed for aftermarket on mine.

Ah I wasn't expecting any in the rear on a truck. Are they considered easy to replace by a novice?

Yes, easy as pie to replace but determining the polarity is a little more difficult if you don't have a multimeter.
If you wanted I could help you out on this as your not too far away.
A speaker change alone running off the standard LR stereo / HU is a very good improvement without going to huge expense.

DAB in the Landy is totally worth it. Fitted to mine last week along with this aerial;

mounted through the roof panel near the back.

You could always go for a glass-mounted aerial if you live in a good reception area.
