help with panel clips
Hi all. I removed the internal rear quarterlight panel when replacing the rear hinge bolts for stainless. One of these sprung metal clips snapped so I duly purchased a new pack.
Unfortunately after many attempts, I simply cannot get the plastic panel to sit flush against the window rubber like it was when new. The clips never seem to quite catch properly.
As I'm about to remove the other side to install a worklamp it would be great to know if there's a particular technique or trick to this?

Thanks in advance! Defender Puma 2.2 XS 90

Are the clips fitting onto the metal tabs on the panel? Mine have been off and on several times and they normally detach from the plastic panel rather than the bodywork and can be a devil to reseat on the panel itself. After that a good thump with the side of my fist and they fit well. Neutral

Yep - those are the ones. I've tried thumping them but guess I need to be more forceful... Thumbs Up Defender Puma 2.2 XS 90
