Coming along nicely Martin...
And I have to say, good decision on the coloured lenses for your lights, somehow clear glass doesn't do it for me on any truck colour tbh... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Martin, that is a really nice looking 90. Definitely a worthy addition to the collection!
How much better is the 2.2 from the TD5 engine? IHTBH I really like driving my TD5, and think the engine is a lovely unit. I have never driven the 2.2 (or 2.4) for any distance, so keen to hear your views? 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

Very nice! I thought it looked familiar and so I see you are now very local to me so I have probably seen it in the metal. If you see any WPD Land Rovers waving at you it is probably me! 2011 110 USW

It's different. It's a commercial 4 pot, with 10+ years of development over the Td5. The Td5 has character, somehow, which is missing from the Puma. But the Puma is much quieter, and I am impressed with the torque and how it is used with the 6 speed box. It's really a fair comparison as I've got a non-factory installed Td5 soft-top on one side, and a brand new Puma on the other. I'd never driven a (standard) Puma before either, only a brief spin in Ian @ IRB's highly tuned one But anytime you want to have a go G, let me know 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Missed a few updates - the leaks from behind the door shut have been sealed under warranty. This seems to affect all current 90s that I have seen, so if it bothers you, get it looked at
Just some figures for those thinking of the NAS/SVX rear lamp conversion: The compelling reason I went for NAS-type lights on the rear of mine is the lighting area. The standard lamps are 2.5" (6.35cm) diameter, so between two there is a lit area of 63.3 cm^2 NAS/SVX lamps are 9.5cm diameter, so a pair have a lit area of 141.8 cm^2 (Working out available if you need it) The NAS/SVX lamps therefore have just a nudge under 2.25 times the area of the standard ones. Personally I feel this safety improvement is very important 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Almost crashed last week when my wife panicked on seeing my Beast's long legged tenant wandering around the dashboard. I pulled over, picked him up, and popped him out the window. I then drove off with my wife pointing out that I probably ran him over
