Auto Conversion
Dear Font of Knowledge,

What make/type is the 6-speed manual fitted to the Disco3 and Disco4? Is it the same as fitted to the Defender Puma?

What type of auto box is fitted to the Disco3 and Disco4? Could it be fitted to the Puma instead of the old 4-speed conversion often offered?

Why do the auto conversions always stuff up the cubby-box, by fitting the shifter so far back? ie. could it not be adopted to sit further forward?

The output flanges on the D3 transfer box are on the wrong side for the Defender axles Thumbs Up
