Hire one they are not expensive to hire, you will also need an edge sander as the big machines do not get to the edge of the boards. Make sure you wear a good mask as some finishes to boards or treatments are toxic

It will be a long job with a Belt sander. Surely just hire a floor sander?

I've done it ...........ONCE.......
Definitely hammer all the floor nails in......Sparks and ripped belts seem to be lurking deep in my brain from 30 years ago..... Belt Sander = no HSS floor sander = yes Unless its a dolls house ![]() JD 2008 TDCi 2.4 XS CSW |
