If you want to make the bonnet even more secure, buy the HiLift Fitting Kit for the GMB Hinges. It will look a bit strange not having a hi lift on them, but with them on you can't open the bonnet enough to take it out of the brackets. Also, double nut the three bolts on each bracket. Got to be the best security for the bonnet.

I have fitted Nylock nuts instead of the standard ones. At least that way the nuts won't just spin off by hand once loose.
