Hi folks,
Just replaced my windscreen wiper boxes on the truck, went straight forward enough, removed the wiper motor as part of the strip down. Reassembled everything...... But. Intermittent wipe is working fine. Slow wipe is working fine (first switch position) Fast wipe is working slightly slower than the slow wipe (second switch position)?? What could I have done wrong, I disconnected the motor from the multiplug, but did not re-arrange any wires. I checked the cable routing and it seems free enough, didn't sound like it was binding on anything... Just find it strange and irritating that slow wipe is faster than the fact wipe..... Any advice appreciated lads. Cheers AndyR |

Thanks for the reply.
Don't think so, couldn't feel anything slack, but will disassemble it tomorrow and check the connections. I just been looking at the electrical diagram. There is a resister fitted in the circuit for the slow wipe, so maybe the fast wipe is a bad connection giving a higher resistance to overcome. Cheers AndyR |

hi all.....
removed the cover to the motor last night.....wiggled the wires around, no change, removed the connector, had a good look at the wires and all appear to be tight and ok. refitted the connector and had the windscreen wipers on at both full whack and slow wipe while wiggling the connector no change. I did see however that the metal plate for the cover is bulging out during rotation about half way through the cycle. So I wonder if its stalling as the motor on full chat doesn't have the torque to overcome the resistance? I wondering if I need to remove the motor and refit it to try and rule out the binding. ![]() ![]() Cheers Andy |
