Hi
To my mind the turbo has too many wires - what are they all for? For those that have had a new turbo harness how was the problem diagnosed and if was intermittent how would you test it - what voltages etc would you expect to see in each wire? Many thanks |

![]() C's continuous trouble shooting gets you really excited, hey ![]() Why is it that my SVX is purring away like a cat without me doing anything other to it than have it frequently serviced? Something must be wrong I guess, let me start looking into this... ![]() http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

You have just summed up the root of most of your vehicular problems. Steve. Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster but owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.. Now long gone. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

![]() Make that an extra large ![]() Yes been away in it, doing quite a few miles in it but the pesky problem keeps coming and going...... Done this....... ![]() Click image to enlarge Even so something is not right all the time which is frustrating ![]() As mentioned elsewhere while the engine was ticking over I gave the engine harness a gentle wiggle here and there and the turbo actuator moved in / out - looked like a full movement.????? Only did it once and can't seem to get it to repeat.? |

Best thing you can do with an intermittent problem is to "let it develop" into a specific repeatable problem you have a fighting chance of finding the fault and sorting it.
Well that's what my journeyman used to say.................I think he was right (unless it was to do with brakes ![]() Cheers AndyR |

Are you sure you don't require a new turbo.
