LR steering boxes are manufactured by Adwest of Reading, who used to supply replacement and reconditioned units to public and trade alike.
I have in the past been exceptionally disappointed with a succession of "Genuine Parts" steering boxes I had to fit on my Disco 2 (all the recon boxes were substantially worse than the original, with one lasting less than a month), and would personally be wary of buying one unless I knew who built it. If I needed one I would go to Adwest. |

I went down to them a few years back and bought one over the counter. Direct from the people who make them. no issues whatsoever.
