There is a Dutch company doing an automatic conversion for the Puma and TD5. If you want I can search for the details. I thought it was around 10000 euro's so it's not sjeep.
I found the details Landrover Experience Centre De Uiver BV Provincialeweg Noord 85/87 NL 6439 AB DOENRADE Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

Ashcroft do an auto conversion for the Puma but it isn't cheap, reports are very good though.

am I missing something? Mouth. Soap. Man you've got balls saying the 'J' word on this site, let alone singing it's praises. We need a hat for such behaviour, wth a big J on it. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks roel & CFB, I'll check out both companies etc.
BTW, its because of an injury coming off a motorbike, to my left side, shoulder & lower leg that has me considering an auto option. If not fitted I'd have been thinking power steering as well. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. I would consider a jeep, lockers as standard, autos and nice grunty engines,,,,,,have a look at the yank off road scence.....you think you can buy toys for the Defender
![]() I have a mate who had his leg taken off in a bike accident, hes looking at a 110 but needs and auto..there is a company that provides a hand control to use the clutch, much cheaper than Ashcroft and JE i believe You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |
