I was given some interesting advice on fitting heavy duty parts. Upgrading parts only transfers the failure to the next bit of the drive train, upgrade the half shaft then the diff breaks, so leave the half shafts alone as the are quicker and easier to change.

I am sure that this will generate some debate. 2008 Defender 110 XS CSW

I dont agree with this theory
Over the last 14 years i'm driving with rear maxidrive diflook and heavy duty shafts.
i never broke anything until last week
In the front axle i have mcnamara diff lock its heavy duty differential and ashcroft heavy duty ring and pinions
replacing the front half shafts in the middle of the Terrain is Unwanted and
Uncomfortable. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Could be worth trying KAM if Ashcroft are out of stock?
