No phone talk on standard XS Alpine Bluetooth
Before I get the dealer to investigate I thought it was worth checking that I'm not missing something obvious. Brand new XS with the Alpine headunit and when I make a Bluetooth call on my iphone I can hear the person I'm calling but they can't hear me. I've read the manual (full version) and tried the obvious stuff and conclude it is the HU, mic or wire between. Any suggestions? (Working fine on the unit in the old one.) Cheers, Guy.

I would check the 3.5mm jack plug at the rear of the unit is plugged in correctly.

As above, check connections / disconnect / re-connect.
See if that ones the trick.

Have you tried pairing an alternative handset just to eliminate your iPhone?

If you can hear them, then the only one you need to check at the back of the head unit is the mic connection. Also make sure you select the unit on your phone as the method of taking the call.

Solved
Thanks for the suggestions. It was the jack plug - not properly pushed home.
Cheers Gents. If only all my problems were so easily solved! Cheers, Guy.
