Puma engine with old style guages

I want to fit a puma engine or maybe 2.7 tdv6 to my defender 90 1989, but I don't want to change the whole dash and bulkhead to a puma one as to keep the old defender interior look.

So I want to use the older style gauge cluster. Is it just a case of just using electronic dials and picking the correct wires from the CAN BUS connector? or is it more complicated than that?
I would quite like to be able to have warning lights and the rest so I don't kill the engine.

Does anyone know if someone has done this or provides a dashboard that will fit and take the CAN connection?

Or does someone make a puma gauge cluster that will fit with the old style dashboard and look oem and not just hacked in like a few I have seen online.
