Honda EU201 any day of the week,
The only thing that comes close is the SDMO equivalent. (They use Yamaha Engines and actually build there suitcase generators for them) You only have one life, live it....forget the cost.

Depend what you are doing with the generator if you are going to use it on campsites etc. Then you need a quite one like an invertor Generator that is almost whisper quite, but they are pricey

If however you just want a generator to knock out a couple of kilowatts and are not bothered about noise then a cheap one of EBay or a cheap one from Machine Mart about £50.00 will do fine.

Just make sure you get one that is fuelled by unleaded petrol, the two stroke generators are a pain as you always find you have run out of two stroke oil when your need it the most

Depends really what you intend using it for. A point to note perhaps is that the Honda EU20i will give less than 9 amps. Borderterrier's recommendation is a bit noisier, 30% more capability and ballpark £400 cheaper than the EU20i and still has Honda emblazoned on it.

Never had the need to use the 12v output on mine,, the 240v runs the water heater, battery charger, 20 plus low wattage lamps

First one i had was second-hand, bought for £500, and sold 3 years later for the same £500

borderterrier link may be £400 odd cheaper, but near 3 times the weight !! plus the ECM2800 in Non Inverter and a old discontinued model ? California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Good point, well presented..... EU20i DC limit 12 Amps, AC 9 Amps. Would imagine for camping etc. it may be enough but with the way things are rumoured to be going with domestic power supplies if I were in the market for a generator I would be considering perhaps something a little more substantial so 'life could go on as normal' in the household should the need arise. But that's just me.

If you are going to run any type of computer equipment then you need a pure sine wave inverter type generator (Honda EU20i).

The Honda Generator will quit happily run any modern caravan and all its equipment with power to spare as it rated @1600 watts and gives a pure sine wave so your laptop and such items will be fine.

Don't get one of these:

They're sold under lots of different brands but are all the same and rubbish.
I speak from experience.
