No the sides don't unbolt on the Brownchurch rack so agree no good for a rooftent. Its great for putting the Oztent on though and everything else you might need. Mick. |

Yep, Hannibal and Patriot both have the supports running front to back therefore a lot less noise than the frontrunner that has them from side to side.
Andrews right about the hannibal being lighter, its a 2-3 man job putting the patriot on a 110. You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

2 questions:
Andrews - what lights are those, mounted to your rack? Is the Hannibal really much lighter than the Patriot? I would have thought that they were both Aluminium so would weigh approximately the same. I was planning to get a Patriot but I have to say I'm increasingly attracted to the Hannibal. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Ha ha ![]() I just worry about putting a huge amount of weight high up. If I'm adding 20kg extra on the roof just in the rack then that's a jerry can I can't carry. You've uprated your suspension, though haven't you? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Just the springs and the ride is very harsh withouth the rack
![]() To be honest, you dont really notice the extra weight, doesnt affect the handling to much ![]() |

Ken
You will need a new bumper as well. alantd They are KC DayLighters The Hannibal weights are 90 = 35kg, 110 = 40kg The Patriot weights are not available. It would not surprise me to find that the Patriot racks are twice the weight of the Hannibal ones. Please dont think I'm slagging the Patriot rack, far from it they are a superb bit of well engineered kit. I just dont see the point of carrying extra weight when its not necessary. |
