alarm question again
I took my 110 DC to a independent who has stated that my landy has aftermarket central locking and an aftermarket alarm fitted. i need to fit another alarm as i cant get another key fob sorted with my current alarm so i have had a quote but my question is how do i know if the imobilser is set or if my landrover has one. its a 2005 Dc and a red light does come on,on the dash when the alarm is set but i dont know whether this was fitted with the aftermarket alarm or not as i have no paperwork with the landy. i have been told this should be the imobileser but another local independant said id need to strip out the dash to find out if the car had an imobiliser.

Remove the alarm fob from your keys, set the alarm and take the fob as far as practical away from the vehicle (preferrably in the house), unlock the vehicle without the fob, and see if you can start the vehicle and it continues to run for more than 10 minutes would be my suggestion.

Question If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!
