Interesting Job Available, Central Scotland | |
I friend through my Sea Kayak Club (Lothian Sea Kayak Club) is looking for someone, and to me it could be a great opportunity for a Defender owner to make a few quid, and do something interesting.
Job post (copied) is:
Quote:I'm on the hunt for someone who'd be interested in occasional work shuttling canoes or sea kayaks to various locations around the central belt.
It would involve loading boats yourself, meeting clients (who are hiring the kit, so we would be looking form someone with good customer service skills), willing to work weekends if necessary and travel to the likes of the Borders (River Tweed), East Lothian, Fife, River Tay, River Clyde, Union, Forth & Clyde Canals, and Loch Lomond, for example. You would also need to be flexible in terms of work times to work around customers' plans (within reason of course). Pay is on an hourly rate.
As mentioned this is an occasional job, so ideally suited to someone in retirement or perhaps with flexible work patterns. It's also great if you have a bit of paddling knowledge so you can relate to clients a bit better.
If interested yourself, or know someone please let me know.
I guess drop me a PM in the first instance, and I will pass it on... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

PM replied to, and passed on to the recruiting company
I must admit, at a different time in life, I would have gone for this myself, the company seems to be growing rapidly... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)
