Have you got a viscous fan spanner. It makes the job easy then. It's a left hand thread.

Also the pulley it attaches to has a hole in it which you can put a C-spanner on to hold it and stop moving, not sure if it has a designated hole to "lock" it with but I have always use a C spanner to great effect.

I drove over to my bro's and we managed to get it off but keeping the fan in the back with spanner just incase its needed
