I think their sales and reception is top class but their mechanics and workshop awful. I rang once to enquire on the price of a service that was extremely expensive and also happily told they don't change the brake fluid that'd be another 100 ontop. Nearly 600 mind you! Shocked I said that's far to expensive and I was effectively told well that's what it is if you want it end off hard luck if you don't. . . . I went to Steve Hill instead did the lot inc brake fluid for around 380. Whistle Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

total cowboys, tried to rip me off but I had the HD dash cam footage of them supposedly 'working' on the disco. Quite funny when their BS is contradicted in full colour hd film.

Would never use again, clueless incompetent and liars.

I can only report my own experience.
They have always been helpful & I have had no cause to question the quality of their workmanship.
I would be interested to know more about how they tried to rip you off.
was this a recent occurrence? '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci

As I reported in a previous post, their quote for a 72k service was 176.11 cheaper than Guy Salmon (Bristol), and 76.26 cheaper than Matford (Exeter), so their prices seem to compare favourably with other 'main' dealers.
Obviously, if you are not locked into a warranty, then you should expect to pay significantly less at an independent specialist. '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci

I had a look on the Land Rover UK website, after reading your post, and they are indeed only listed as being an 'Approved Service Centre'.
I assume that this has only happened fairly recently, as I can recall a couple of the new shape FFRR's being parked outside for staff training not so long ago.
Interestingly, when you click on the link to the MJ Fews website, it rather confusingly still refers to sales managers, obtaining brochures, etc. '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci

I was told that they started selling Isuzu because the end of Defender production was imminent (2013MY due to be the last that time?) and, with no direct Land Rover replacement in sight, they still wanted to be able to offer customers a commercial vehicle option. '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci
